View Full Version : Imperial Football League Opening

The Imperial Football League is in its 9th season and it needs to take someone new onboard.

The league was formed in order to provide an option for GM’s that either wanted a slower pace in order to really get to know their players and their teams or a weekend league to complement their leagues that play during the week. We play 1 game a week on Sundays, with 3 or 4 double game weeks throughout the season.

Currently, we're in the middle of "early" free agency. The GM-less team happens to hold the #1 pick in the draft. We are an equal opportunity league that welcomes newbies. Would prefer someone that likes to chat it up on the forums.

PS - At the time of the posting the site is down. I've filled out a support ticket, so hopefully the issue is resolved soon.

jeff, what was that message about on the site before, that you were closing the league down? was that a joke or was the site hacked?

Our host mentioned there was a vulnerability in our php setup. Along the way, one of the techs also thought it was fitting to point out that old index file as if our league might be shutting down without me, the client, knowing. "Hey, let's make that the new homepage for that clueless chap!"

Thanks for pointing that out in the new recruitment thread! To anyone reading this, I like to play April Fool's jokes (and that's what HA is referring to).

This isn't good. They apparently recompiled PHP on our site and a number of things are not working now as a result. I do not understand why our forums would be messed up - it's not like we coded them.

DAMMIT. me and the person who had the 1st overall pick made a trade and we announced it late last nite. he traded me the 1st round pick for my 1.14, 3rd round pick and next year's 2nd round pick. now that thread is probably lost. but anyway we both accepted so it still counts.

ok bye.


(also, who was the GM with the 1st overall pick? Salt Lake City/Vito?)

2011 season is about to wrap up and the IFL will have at least one opening with the possiblity of two.

The position that is open for sure is filled. Still the possibility of something opening up within the next week or so.

we still have an opening in this uber league. there aren't many openings often, so this is your chance to join one of the elite leagues, and not one of those faggy leagues that has the same people (EF27, QS, Subby, Jeeber, RedKingGold, SkyDog, etc). nothing against those ladies, but we're looking for people who're looking for a different experience instead of being in the same league with the same people. we talk dirty and we occassionally wash our anuses when your mothers come around. we're a league of gentlemen afterall.

i'm in the league, Suicane is the commish, Cringer is in there as is macroguru and some other people who's names aren't elite enough to entice people to join.
