Ray Allen made a film a few years ago with Denzell Washington where Allen played a high school basketball player whose father was in prison but let out by the Governor of the state to try and get his kid (Allen) to sign a letter of intent to go to the Governor's alma mater. Anyway, in the film, Denzell had named his kid "Jesus", not after Christ mind you, but after Earl "Black Jesus" Monroe, former all-world, all-everything Guard.

Well, I was watching the Celtics game the other day and Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen are doing a post-game interview and Garnett called Allen "Jesus" on camera.

For some reason, that just amused me.

It really is a good time to be a Boston sports fan.

You'll have to forgive my ignorance. Until this year, we haven't had a professional basketball team in Boston in twenty years. ;)
