Looking like it's going to be a good fight, battle of the unbeatens though many pundits are predicting Mayweather with a convincing victory.
Who are you taking?

I wish I could take my boy Hatton, but I think Mayweather is just going to outbox him. Mayweather in a unanimous decision.
Hatton could knock him out if he gets lucky or Mayweather really has underestimated him, but I don't see either happening.

I picked hatton, but mayweather will probably win another fixed fight.
All mayweather did against deloya was run for 12 rounds and he still won the decision. I think it will be something similiar to that. I swore I wouldn't buy this fight, but I gave in and ordered it about an hour ago.

I just get the feeling the fight will either be sloppy or boring and I would get irritated about shelling out $50 to $60 bones on it.
Has anyone watched Hatton fight since he came over to the states? Is he still wrestling his way through the bout?

Dude, anyone could have seen that Mayweather would roll in that one - De la Hoya peaked many years prior to that fight.

I'll be rooting for Hatton to win, but I'd be very surprised if he did. I think Mayweather will win it without a whole lot of trouble.
I won't be buying it though, Mayweather is among the most boring boxers to watch, and Hatton isn't exactly electrifying, so I don't imagine this fight will be a huge barnburner.

I thought about ordering the fight, but $65 for the HD version? I think I'll pass.
I have a feeling that Hatton might just pull off a Pavlik and win the fight.

Hatton did wrestle in his first two US fights. The fight against Castillo was better but thats probably because it only lasted 4 rounds. Great liver punch by Hatton to end it.
Mayweather is an unbelievable fighter. Like most others said, he is boring as hell in the ring though. I am definitely not buying the fight tonight. I expect Mayweather to win by UD and a wide margin.
The PPV numbers are expected to be huge tonight, should be interesting to see how they compare to Mayweather vs. De La Hoya.

Funny Shorty, because most people don't think mayweather actually won the fight. Including mayweathers father.

Mayweather. I just don't see Hatton getting close enough for long enough. Maybe if Hatton was a one-punch KO type, he could just need to find a few spots, but he's much more like Mickey Ward. A fighter that wins by KO after an accumulation of punishment. Hatton won't be able to get inside and stay there like he needs to do. Mayweather will probably win a comfortable decision.

Don't know how you about proving who "most people" think won the fight, but going back to the thread on the fight on the OOTP boards, it looks like everyone except one or two people there thought Mayweather won.
And Mayweather's father is not someone to count on for an unbiased opinion.

Well, I am going by the guys where I live and that watched the fight with me. All Mayweather did in that fight is run and run and run again. Deloya was the champ, if anything it should of been called a draw and in a draw the champ keeps the belt.
Mayweather did not win the fight.
Especially after all the shit he talked, he should of backed it up.

I am amazed at the number of people over here who are planning on staying up to watch the fight at 4am UK time. At least half of my work colleagues are planning to watch the fight live.

Hatton only wins by KO. Floyd will dance around for half the fight, and when Hatton goes full bore, will start letting bombs fly. I could see Floyd getting cocky at this point, leaving himself open for a bullrush and an uppercut or a hook and losing. Otherwise, Floyd takes it.

I'm glad you just put that because what ESPN has on their site doesn't make much sense
Floyd Mayweather has just knocked out Floyd Mayweather in the 10th round.

That was a great fight. It was like watching a Rocky movie, where Rocky loses.
I was hating on Mayweather a bit before this fight, but man he is really the best ever. Once he figures out a guys style, he just works em. He proved he could go toe to toe against this guy.
Thumbs Down, to the brits who booed our national anthem. Not cool.
Thumbs Up, to Mayweather coming into the ring to Born in the USA. Good showmanship. I went from rooting for Hatton to Mayweather just like that.

The reasons for you loving and hating Mayweather really is why people either love him or hate. He is a showman whether it is talking trash before a fight or in the ring. He is very effective once he figures out a guy's style. If that means standing toe to toe will win him the fight, fine. If it means running, he will do that too.

Being British it was embarrassing to me when they booed the national anthem....Total lack of class by my countrymen
To their credit though, they did make it an amazing atmosphere throughout the fight, kind of like being at a Man U/Chelsea match.
Mayweather is a master of figuring out his opponents. He calmly weathered the early storm and once he had Ricky timed, he gradually took control. It was pretty much dead even through 7, then Mayweather just began to pull away. He would have won comfortably had it gone the distance.
Joe Cortez did a terrible job and that point deduction was bullshit. He looked nervous and unsure at times and interjected himself far too much into the fight.
All in all a damn good fight though. Hatton needs to stay at 140 as he wore down more than I have ever seen, and he will struggle against the bigger Welters. Mayweather is far and away the best P4P in the world right now.

I am actually British, born in Bishop Auckland. Came to America with my Mom after my parents got divorced and became a US citizen at age 10. Still have my citizenship in the UK as well.
