I'm curious, I'm not sure if this poll was done. I was wondering who was buying all these Wii's out there. I see the numbers, I know they are being sold. But, if I had to guess I would say that 360 far outnumbers both Wii and PS3 sales on this site.

I voted Wii and kids even though my son is only a year old and was barely born when we bought the Wii. My wife and I (and every other adult we've played it with) enjoy it very much though.

I've also owned the following in the past: Atari 2600, NES, SuperNES, PSX, N64, Dreamcast, Gamecube, Xbox, PS2, Gameboy, Gameboy Advance, DS.

I would have purchased a PS3 last month if they'd kept backwards compatibility (bought a $200 HD-DVD player instead). I imagine I'll eventually purchase a PS3 when they drop below $250-300 or if BR wins that war before standalone players drop below $200. I don't see myself buying an Xbox 360 unless FF13 is released there... at this point FF13 and Rock Band are the only current-gen games not on Wii I'm looking forward to.

In the past, I had 2 PS2's (both died before 8 months was up, I have since forsaken ANY console from Sony). I also had 2 Xbox's, sold them both (do'h) and wish I would not have. Never had a Wii, will never have a PS3, not sure about Xbox 360 (heard varying rumors about them; some people say they suck and crash then die, others say they have no problems with them).

This was only geared towards next gen consoles. That is why there isn't a PS2 option.

Though, I imagine it would be interesting to look at the PS2, XBOX and Gamecube choices.

Gamecube was more of the kids conole then the PS2 or XBOX.

My wife prefers the Wii/gamecube to the XBOX and XBOX 360. But, all I own for my 360 or XBOX in the past are Sports and Fighting games.

I have about 20 guys that work for me in Support. Most are between the age of 20 to 27. Few of them are older and don't do any gaming.

The younger guys all have a 360 and/or computer.

I have to admit, with my kid I do enjoy playing the gamecube games.

NES, SNES, Sega Genesis, Sega CD, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, GBA SP, DS, DS Lite, PS1, PS2, PS3, PSP, XBox, 360.... Had the Game Gear a while back but I sold it, because the only game on it that was any good was a mediocre port of Shining Force II.

Its much better on Wii. Its got all the PS2 content (Ps2 had more content than GC, GC had better graphics) but has the added video complexity that the GC had (everything is higher poly count too) but its basically the PS2 game. The Wii controls make it play in a completely different way though.
