Laptop hardware question

So last night my cat puked on my laptop. Luckily it wasn't on the keyboard, just the edges and the touchpad.

So after I put the cat in the microwave I used a damp papertowel to wipe it off since it was dried on. Everything works fine except the left/right mouse click button on the touchpad.

I guess my question is am I screwed or will it eventualy start to work again. I was very carefull not to get water in there.

So in addition to a new cat do I now need to get my laptop fixed?

Why would you get a new cat? Just get this one stuffed and put him on the wall. You still get his companionship, but without the feces and hairballs...Win-Win for both of you!!! :D

the microwave finised the job
