What region do you guys play in? The US? Is there a way I can get in a league w/ all of you, or do they throw everyone into US divisions?
And so on...

I am in the New Orleans Region, if you sign up for supporter you can join the FOFC Federation (I am still a new guy so I am not sure exactly what happens, but I think there is like an FOFC cup maybe)...also in the Dynasty section there are a few threads you might want to check out...The Hattrick team list thread has every team from FOFC listed and what region they play in and all the information. Then there are a few threads that have all kinds of information that will really help you out once you get your team.

Thanks...how do you join a federation? do you have to $? I'm trying to get into one, but it wont let me...I wouldn't have a prob. paying for this, though...it looks awesome.
Yes, it costs $5-6 every 3 months, or $20 for a year.

I would say it is well worth it, not only can you join a federation, but you can book mark players which makes it much easier when shopping around for guys....and then it adds just a bunch of 'fluff' you can give your players #'s, and you can see you players faces (I am not sure if this is for everyone or just supporters...) but I would say it is deffinatly worth it just being able to book mark players, matches, other teams....all that good stuff.

Be sure to join the Federation and add your team info to the FOFC Hattrick lists over in the Dynasty section. Welcome to Hattrick and enjoy!

If you need help with your team there are a bunch of threads over in the Dynstasy section about what to do when you get your team, the best one to probably start reading is Rich's Hattrick Help- Toledo Drunkards, that one has a bunch of info in it....also if you post your roster some of us here can help you out with that....

Dola- for the 1000th post:cool: ....
Also, I just went and looked at your team, and you have clinched first place in your division- I think this means you have a chance to move up to division 4 next season, but I think you have to play a game for it....I am not sure, maybe someone who knows a lot more about hte agame can help you out with that.
I saw your coach is weak, you probably want to fire him and get atelast a passable coach, it cost $10,000 everytime you fire him, and its all luck of the draw so be careful....
I was able to kinda look at your roster (not see player ratings) but you have 17 players + 1 coach, I (and i think most others) like to carry 22 players and 1 coach...this way you can have an A team and a B team so to speak, the 2nd team is the team that will play in friendlies, you want this team to be a ver young team...
One of the first players you will want to buy is a passable keeper, i was able to get a 19 year old passable keeper yesterday in espana....be sure to check the foegin markets for players, i didn't know how to do this until the other day and i ended up overpaying for quite a few players in the US....
Also, you will want to bump your youth squad up to $20,000 to get them better much quicker...
and that should be enough to help you get started for a little while, now take everything i say with a grain of salt because I only got a team a week and a half ago....and again consider yourself lucky to be finishing in first place, at the end of the season you get some money for that...
-Doug
edit: while I am at it, i guess I will plug some of my players...
I am currently in the process of a roster makeover, so i am selling 7 guys right now to get my roster size back down... Most of them are young guys (under 20) with Inadequate skills in their key positions, they are good playres for a B team...if you go to my team page (Louisiana Cyclones 72080) and click on players you can see them...the biddings are all starting at $2,000 except for an inadaquet keeper who is at $15,000

Question-
Why don't they show the standing w/ W-L-T?
Goals?

Your standing in your division/"serie" is on the team page. The link is the same as your team name. (It's also the page you log into.)
That said, I'd do a search in this forum for some of the other help or beginner thread. There's a lot of useful information in there. Additionally, I'd take a peek at some of the dynasties in the dynasty forum. The ones I regularly read are DataKing, Ardent, and sterlingice (this isn't a knock on anyone else's thread, I've just read these for a long time so I'm more familiar with them). I'm waiting for QS and horned to do theirs (hint, hint! please?).

Well, I click on: Series: # 1 in V.251 , and it shows standing, but instead of W-L-T...it shows goals for and against...

With 34 points in 13 games you're 11-1-1. Oh, and in soccer, record is usually written out W-T-L (losses last), or more accurately W-D-L (D=draws).
When you bring up your league table (aka standings) there is a link under "more info" for "fixtures." This shows every league game for the season, so reconstructing W-D-L is not too difficult.

I don't think it's been mentioned yet, but you get 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw, and 0 for a loss. With 34 points, there's only one combo that works for that. However, dacman's way of putting together your record through the fixtures link is the easier way to keep track.
