Money Order Question

I've never used one before, so what kind of personal information is needed/used?

None at all. You go to the post office, give them the money for it, they punch in the dollar amount, you write your name and the receiver's name/address, then send it/hand it over.

I believe you can go to 7-11 as well.

as long as you stay under $10,000 (total) nothing but cash is needed :)

Kid down the street who mows the yard asked if I could pay with a money order. Wasn't sure if this was a way for identity theft or something, since I offered to pay cash and they still wanted the money order. Thanks for the responses.
