I asked my board for feeder recommendations so I could have a place to stash young kids who aren't able to get work permits, while they get citizenship, and I got three options:

Vihren (Sandanski) - Bulgaria
Granada 74, S.A.D. - Liga BBVA
FCM Uta Arad - Romania

The Bulgarian option requires three years for citizenship, while the Spanish and Romanian sides need four years for their respective citizenship. Since none of those three leagues are active (I'm light on RAM), would a link with those teams be mainly for speed to citizenship, or will there be a difference between development among the three?

i'd vote the former. And honestly if that's what you're going to use it for i'd go with the bulgarian option. Not like the quality of play will be all that different in the 3

If you go with Granada 74, I will hunt you down and destroy you and your family.

See Icy's comment about 74 in my Granada thread for why :)

Because the owner bought the team and moved them from somewhere else?

Yeah, which doesn't sound like a big deal to an American, but in a culture and situation such as Spain's football/soccer climate, that's just something you don't do. Plus, it seemed like a real shoddy thing to do, given the history.

The beter the standard of league and training facilities the better the player development while based there - so bear that in mind.

By default I'd opt for Spain unless one of the other teams is likely to compete in Europe (you don't mention the year you're in so I won't make presumptions) ...

Marc, does this hold true even if the league in question is inactive? I ended up having to reload the game because I couldn't alt-tab back into it, and wound up with Real Sporting S.A.D. as my feeder.

I chose 'em over a couple others for that reason - I felt like the Spanish league would be the better one - but I still don't know if that matters for their development if the Spanish league isn't active or at least in the background.
