What day does Training Start/End?
Should I be hiring Physio guys? Assistants? Goalie coaches? Spokespeople? I have one of each of the above, and no psychs or doctors...

Training updates are on Thursday. They cover the Sunday league game & the Wednesday friendly.
The number of physios you should hire depend on the % training you're running. Some people suggest you should hire 1 physio for every percent above 90% you're training, but you could probably get by with a couple less.
Doctors aren't important until someone gets hurt, so don't bother hiring any. Assitants + Goalie coaches can't be greater than 10. Most people get 8 Assistants + 2 goalies, or 7 and 3, but since you're new you probably can't afford that many, try 5 + 1.
Spokespeople generate extra sponsor income, so hire as many as you can. These do the most benefit at the start of a season, so you may want to wait a couple of weeks.
Keep in mind that each extra staff member you purchase has less an effect. This means that 4 spokespeople won't generate twice as much income as 2.

And they cost 1500 a week each. So spend wisely.

Another question...when I read in the match writeup that my team 'obviously had trouble finding their positions,' is that a lack of experience in the formation, a lack of experience in general, or a combination of both? Just wondering what level I'm going to have to get my experience with the 3-5-2 up to before I stop seeing mistakes like that...

Vince -- that's lack of formation experience. Usually by the time you get it to "solid" you stop seeing that.
I usually keep two doctors on staff. It may not be an exact science, but I figure by the time I hire and fire the doctors as injuries warrant them, I could just as well keep them on the payroll.
In the early stages this probably isn't the best idea. The cost may eat you up, but I'm in no financial crisis.
