So I was watching America's Funniest Videos (starring Bob Saget), and there was one video where a young girl (looked older than 5 but younger than 12), whose top came off. And they showed it.

There's also commercials with babies running around showing their asses.

Don't you think if these are allowed on TV, then grown women should also be shown naked? It's only fair.

For nostalgia's sake, I've watched some "Sesame Street" over the past couple of years. So I'm watching the show one time, and Eva Mendes walks out of the corner store completely naked. All you could really see was her ass, but she waved goodbye to the girl in the store and walked offscreen. Ten seconds later, you see Luis bolt out of his apartment and chase her down the street. It was fucking hilarious.

Come on, I can't have been the only person who saw this. It's PBS. You can show nudity on PBS.

Well, he was at the time. After the Eva Mendes incident, I think their marriage is on the rocks.

I heard Gordon is the real father of Stacey Dash. Is that true? And Bob and Linda had something special going on back in the day.

So did Bert and Ernie, but I wish they never would have shown that.

No, but the original Gordon (from 69-72) was the father of Holly Robinson Peete.

(Matt Robinson was the Gordon with the beard, succeeded briefly by a younger Hal Miller who then gave way to the familiar shaved head Gordon played by Roscoe Orman).

I just know the shaved head one. Holly Robinson Peete, yum. I used to watch Hangin' With Cooper just for her.

Same thing with Bugs Bunny. Yet he was always ashamed when he was taking a bath.......

When his feathers are dry, they puff out and cover everything. When they're wet, they kind of part and you would be able to see it ALL.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steambath_%28play%29

Steambath was the second play by American author Bruce Jay Friedman to be produced. It was first performed in 1970.

This play presents the afterlife as a steam bath, in which dead souls (who may not in every case realize that they are dead) continue to obsess about the same petty concerns that obsessed them in their lives. Ultimately, they are cast into a dark void by God, the steambath's Puerto Rican attendant. In the play, new arrival Tandy at first refuses to accept what's happened, and when he finally does, he pleads to be allowed to return to his life. Steambath was controversial when first produced for its obscene language (which was softened for its television version), its satirical take on religion, and some brief nudity.

Friedman claims to have been inspired to write the play in part because of a "bad experience with the food at a Chinese restaurant" that had him contemplating mortality.

In its original production, Anthony Perkins directed and played the role of Tandy with Hector Elizondo playing God (for which he won an Obie Award). The play was produced for PBS in 1973 with José Pérez playing God, Bill Bixby playing Tandy, and Valerie Perrine as the blond bombshell, Meredith. Perrine made television history as the first female to have her nipples displayed (intentionally, rather than accidentally) on American broadcast television, though the programme was not carried by the entire network.

I always liked Sarah Chalke better even though she was the fill in. I thought she was less trashy.

The word bitch wasn't used in regular tv until the 90's, so who knows, maybe in 15-20 years they'll show a naked woman's ass.

Its a source of natural awkwardness for me how 'het up' American society is about swearing, sex and nudity tbh.

I watch a lot of british television and am always rather concerned I'm going to accidentally offend someone in the gym when theres nudity in a show I'm watching while working out - heck my wife since moving here has started to consider some UK shows she used to watch as almost pornography because they show glimses of people having sex (incredibly common in most European television, heck its part of normal life and perfectly natural, the bible even tells us to do it ;) ).

PS - Viewing not recommended for the gym includes 'Misfits' ... its a fantastic show about a group of English inner city teenagers who gain super-powers while doing community service* .. fantastically written, but fairly gritty in places so expect swearing and some nudity.

*community service - if you get caught doing minor crimes in England, especially as a kid you get sentenced to community service. Basically make work to keep the kids busy and out of trouble, doesn't 'really' work and definitely doesn't teach the kids anything really ...
