NT as RDT or LDT

Can a NT play RDT or LDT without penalty? In run a 4-3, rather than a 3-4, and the game won't let me change the position of one of my DTs from NT to RDT or LDT. Can I play him at RDT or LDT without losing anything?

Generally if you can't position-switch, he's undersized for the position to begin with. Next training camp, see if he can put on weight.

That said, it's pretty common (I think) to move guys between 'similar' spots like that. I don't think there's been any real solid testing on performance, but I can't see it being a huge factor.
