Need to fix AI [Archive] - Front Office Football Central

I play with watching the play by play with my game plan being used. I've been noticing when my opponent comes out in "single set 3 or 4wr" sometimes my Defense is in 3-4 normal instead of nickle or dime.

Its not my setting because you can call for run and still be in nickle. Just like in the NFL, the Defense waits to see the personnel coming in and makes their defense formation based upon the offense personnel.

Why doesn't this AI know the personnel so it can adjust my defense formation? I wish this could be corrected. It really killing my game play.

This is a big gripe I have with others such as BBCF for this is the way real football is played. The only way you could make it work is to have a game planning option to match up personnel against the opponent. Play calling options could be predicated off of it. Far too many instances in BB where you have a 4-4 lining up to stop quads or trips formations in passing situations.:rolleyes:

I'm not sure exactly what you mean. Can you copy and paste the portion from a game log that you are talking about?

I think what he means is if the offense goes 3 or 4 or 5 wides you should matchup with as many DBs instead of playing a straight 3-4 where LBs have to cover WRs.

Yes, thats exactly what I mean. Thanks Brad. The my opponents offense comes out with 3, 4, or 5 wide and I'm still in 34 normal having LB covering WR.

Need to fix this so the AI can read personnel coming in.
