Hilarious to me, worst team EVAR!

Okay, here's how I stumbled upon this. I had traded this WR to the Colts, because his timetable didn't match mine with my team. He was in year 8, and I was starting my rebuild. So, I moved him for a 1st round pick if I recall correctly.

I'm Arizona, and a couple years later, he magically ends up on my team again. The CPU signed him to fill my roster. He's still a stud though, as he was my starting WR and was rated 76/76. So I looked at his history, and he had just resigned with the Colts for $112 million, and THREE years. Yet, they released him? I was in awe at the cap hit that had to have been. Okay, so I decide to mosey on over to the Colts page, and look. What I saw ASTOUNDED me. They must have released almost everyone, and started over. I've never noticed the CPU do this, maybe I've just never paid attention, but I was laughing so damn hard when I saw this roster, and be sure to pay attention to the "Cap Lost" number, it's hilarious!

This team is going to be so sad. I even simmed the 1st week of the regular season to make sure this was the lineup they were going to use during the season. I saw it in preseason, but couldn't believe it. I feel bad for that very good DT going to waste. :( LOL!!!

This isn't hilarious at all. It's an issue that has plagued SP for a while now. AI teams get into heinous cap trouble and completely blow up their rosters from time to time.

Just curious as to what your cap range is set at?

Never changed it. 28 to 80.

I strongly suggest you change it to 70-99. You'll see this happen a few times, but not nearly as much as you would using the default range.

I'm in an MP league with a few AI teams. One AI team resigned a 9th yr. WR rated 76/76. He has had 5 injuries the past 2 seasons. He signed a 5yr/122 mil deal with 88 mil in bonus money. He is now going to be a 20-30 mil cap hit for the next 5 seasons. Cap is 115 mil. This team is now pretty screwed for several years.

I've traded players to the AI before, only to find the guy I traded them in the FA pool during FA2. I believe a few times, even after they extended the guy.
