I thought this question had been asked before, but where do downloaded logo packs go? Do you create a graphics folder, a logos folder inside it and then place them there?

Would it also work the same way with kits as well?

create a graphics folder in /my documents/sports interactive/football manager 2008 (or wordlwide soccer manager 2008)

and put whatever you downloaded in some folders in there. As long as your downloaded files came with a config.xml file of their own, I understand that it will work fine.

I think my logos are under the usual /logos/... but I also have one huge picture pack under one big folder called something like "/framed missing pictures" or something like that...

For some reason, the logo pack I have is not working. I extracted the logo pack into the /my documents/sports interactive/Worldwide Soccer Manager 2008/ folder. The pack added a new folder called 'logos' to this file.

The pack is in French. I wondered if changing the country names to English might fix the problem, but I changed 'Angleterre' to 'England' and still nothing. Any ideas?

did you try putting that "logos" folder inside a newly created "graphics" folder?

Is that logopack the superpack I linked to the other day? The one from FMEurope? Anyway, that's the one I'm using and sure enough, every folder are in French in there and it is definitely working...

Yeah, just make sure it's put in the 'Graphics' folder within the WWSM 'My Documents' folder.

The french folder names won't cause any issues, as FM said. As long as the config file is there, it will find the logos.

The only other thing you should make sure of doing is unclicking the 'Use Skin Cache' box in Preferences and click the 'reload skin upon confirm' button the first time you try to use the logos or anything graphics related, for that matter.

Once you load up the game and see the logos/kits, you can go back into preferences and put things back to normal.

FM, what is the link to that superpack?

FM, what is the link to that superpack?

from the big impression thread in general discussion:
It's not always there. I went through all of my senior squad and couldn't find one player who had that option but the first four I checked on my U18 squad all that the option to learn from someone else, check the following screenie:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v354/QcFrogMan/FM2008/th_learning.jpg (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v354/QcFrogMan/FM2008/learning.jpg)

In that case, Brill is a keeper on my senior squad and it's offering me the option of linking Faulds with him for tutoring. In the dropdown, I also have the option of linking him to Julian Speroni, my new keeper.

Regarding that screenie, see the team logo on the top left, well it's part of a superpack from FMEurope. The pack is 155mb but includes about all the important leagues. Here's an example of how the logos look:
http://detonax.free.fr/Allinone/PreviewL2.png

the superpack can be found at this link:
http://www.fmeurope.net/index.php?option=com_remository&Itemid=0&func=fileinfo&id=313

Yeah, it's all in French, but click the grey down arrow next to the pack's name and it'll initiate the download...

I really like it :)

no problem. One thing I did was delete the small nation logos, as I liked to have the basic flags better than the national FA logos in every player profile. When you delet part of the logopack, including the associated .xml file, it keeps on using the default files.

One odd thing, it doesn't have all the very, very low English leagues but does have about all the lower Canadian and many American teams, like the local Montreal Impact for me, and their affiliated club Trois-Rivières Attak...

FrogMan... Thanks for showing me this back in the main forum thread... I have been loving this logo pack since I downloaded it along with the dds 2.1 skin. The logo pack you pointed me to has improved my satisfaction with the game alot. Not that it really needed it all that much but I love these slick logos because they are nicely done without being too fancy.

Anyone know of a good mega pack with kits? I saw the link to kits in the other thread on FMG(?) but they are all single league downloads.

cool about the logos and the skin. I really like the dDs 2.1 skin. I was used to the default one but after using the dDs one for a few days, my eye did hurt when I went back to the bright light grey :)

about the kit megapack, I don't know of one yet but I keep looking for one. iirc, the one I linked to on fmglive mentionned they wouldn't do a megapack because the creators were against the idea. Maybe someone will compile one at some point...

I have a picture megapacks though, if you are interested... See my dynasty with the framed Rob Styles pictures to have an example...

FM, I'm using the same logo pack as you. Can you be more specific on the location of the small nation logos you deleted? I went to "My docs\SI\WWSM 2008\graphics\logos\nations" where I found "nation" folders. In side was 6 nation folders, I went into each one and deleted the "small" folder but still get the FA logos instead of the flags. Am I in the wrong place?

dola, because I did basically the same thing you did except I zipped the "small" folders to back them up and left only the zip after deleting them...

Yes, actually I did which is why I was surprised it didn't work. The skin did reload on confirm. When that didn't work I quit the game and then restarted with the skin cache box unchecked and still no go. I don't think I missed anything;) but I'll try again. At least I confirmed that I did delete the same files as you.

Good idea about zipping and keeping them. They are still in my recycle bin so I think I'll restore them and do that.

Thanks for the reply.
