One of the better finishes to an FOF game in which I was calling plays for my team.

First season of a league in which was a full league draft. My Eagles are playing at the Cowboys in week 15. The loser of this game is pretty much out of the playoffs and the winner keeps hope alive.

My Eagles lead 19-14 with 25 second left in the game. Dallas has no timeouts remaining and they have the ball 2nd and 10 on their own 38 yard line. Charlie Batch is their QB and is 10-28 for about 85 yards at that point in the game (their ground game kept them in it, and costly penalties against me at the worst possible times).

Suddenly:

2-10-DAL38 (4Q: 00:25) Charlie Batch pass completed to WR Bernard Berrian for 53 yards. Tackled by S Brett Reynolds. Berrian gained 4 yards after the catch. The quarterback threw away from the double coverage.

In one play Batch puts the Cowboys at 1st and goal on my 9 yard line. They are able to get to the line and start the next play with 6 second left in the game (not sure how they managed that).

1-9-PHI09 (4Q: 00:06) Charlie Batch pass completed to FB Lorenzo Neal for 8 yards. Tackled by CB Desmond Dillon, assisted by S Josh Bullocks. The receiver ran his route right over the middle of the field. The quarterback threw away from the double coverage. Philadelphia's Jacques Reeves was hurt on the play. This appears to be a very serious leg injury.

Before the End of the Quarter message popped up I was afraid that my player's injury happened with time on the clock meaning 2nd and goal at the 1 but as it turns out it was a Rams/Titans type ending to the game with the player being brought down at the 1 with no time left.

The only thing that may have been cooler is if the injured player were the one to make the tackle. Player in serious pain and hangin gon to the ball carrier to preserve the win, that would have been a nice story line.
