The Alternate Universe Football League (http://aufl.simsportleagues.com) has several teams available as I am replacing inactive GMs.
AUFL is a mixed USFL-NFL league currently in week eight of the 1985 season. All 28 NFL teams as well as all players from every USFL team were individually rated prior to startup. The league features the 28 historical NFL teams supplemented by four USFL teams: the Generals, Showboats, Stars and Stallions.
I just added database-driven player pages to the league and will work on adding more of these dynamic pages in the future. You can see the player pages at work by going to the website and clicking on 'Players' on the menu bar.
Definitely on the board are the Falcons, Bears, Eagles and Seahawks. The other team will be either the Eagles or Cardinals. The Cardinals' current GM is hoping to switch to the Eagles - the matter is up for league vote. If passed, the Cards are open, if not, the Eagles are.
The Bears have a good team which has suffered miserably due to non-participation by the GM. This is the 85 Bears team with the famous 46-defense that went 15-1 and ran over three teams en route to a Super Bowl win.
The Falcons don't have much - they represent a challenge for an astute, rebuilding type GM who has the patience to deal with a poor starting roster.
The Seahawks got off to a good start but have slumped lately. There are some good players on the roster including defending NFL Defensive MVP Kenny Easley. They play in a tough division with the 49ers, Rams and Cards though, so this could be a good challenge.
The Eagles are Cardinals are fairly similiar - decent teams on the upswing in tough divisions. The Cards' offense is solid and built around Neil Lomax while the Eagles have an aging Ron Jaworski and a young Randall Cunningham to build around.
If you're interested, PM me here or email me at commish-at-simsportleagues-dot-com.
Thanks,
Joe
