my SP team Im running at the moment has the worst running game in the league and im trying to asses whether i should replace the RB or strengthen my offensive line.

my problem is that i dont really understand the lineman stats, for example:

keybl = keyblocks, you obviously want high
blOpp = block opponent?, im not sure, but i guess this should be high
panc = pancakes, what is this? - if you flatten your opponent? if so, it should be high
Rplay = no idea what this means and so whether it should be high or low
SckA = sacks allowed, so obviously as low as possible is best
PPly = again, not sure what it means or whether high or low is best

football outsiders ALY: i understand this adjusts RB stats to give an indication of the affectiveness of your off line, but im not sure if high or low indicates your off line is good or bad, for example:

my RB avg is 3.44, my ALY is 3.82 and the diff is +11.
is having a higher ALY avg than my RB avg indicate that perhaps my RB is to blame? or viceversa?

lastly, the game stats show what avg your RBs gain and also what avg your team gained rushing left, middle and to the right. but is there anywhere it shows that a particular RB is avg going left or right, or atleast whether he favours a direction

thanks

my SP team Im running at the moment has the worst running game in the league and im trying to asses whether i should replace the RB or strengthen my offensive line.

my problem is that i dont really understand the lineman stats, for example:

blOpp = block opponent?, im not sure, but i guess this should be high.
panc = pancakes, what is this? - if you flatten your opponent? if so, it should be high. Yes.
Rplay = no idea what this means and so whether it should be high or low.

is having a higher ALY avg than my RB avg indicate that perhaps my RB is to blame? or viceversa? Compare both of those numbers to the league average ypc. 3.44 is going to be very low in most cases. Your RBs suck. 3.82 should be near or a little below the league average, depending on what rosters you're using and how far along your career is.

lastly, the game stats show what avg your RBs gain and also what avg your team gained rushing left, middle and to the right. but is there anywhere it shows that a particular RB is avg going left or right, or atleast whether he favours a direction No. It isn't broken down in that detail.

thanks

See above for my comments on how to use the stats. Hit F1 on the stats screen for info on what they mean.
