View Full Version : QotM inanity

Okay, we know that the QOTM script apparently likes to keep coming back to the first quote that was entered. I still get to see "kleenex's" about 10-20% of the time I'm on this site.

I finally got around to entering in a few new QotM entries, and I was a little surprised that I had to enter three things. The quote, the author, and then the letter. Uh, so you need me to tell you that "Fritz" starts with an "F" - is that what I'm hearing? And if I say "Fritz" starts with a "Q" that's where it gets filed?

Anyway, I guess it's entertaining.

QS - See a Jason Tobias listing in the Ws.

By the way, did they cut a bunch of quotes? The list seems to be much smaller, which is a good thing. Nice job, mods.

Still too many Fritz quotes, though. Seems like everyone thing he says is assumed to be stunningly hilarious, even if we don't know why. Kind of like an FOFC Whoopi Goldberg.

Good idea. I was thinking the same thing as I read through them a couple of weeks ago. A number of those quotes were only funny in context.

Hey now, don't go attacking me. BTW, what is an everyone thing?

SkyDog - Thanks for pruning out the "I often Eat Harry and David (http://www.harryanddavid.com) Fruit."

Yeah, that one's only funny if it reads, "I often eat David's hairy fruit."

Ironically, I have the "kleenex" quote at the top of my page right now.

Booo.

Skydog cut my cat quote. It was kind of stupid, but I thought it was better than my pirate quote.

Edit:

Picking on Fritz for no reason was mean....

I just noticed the quotes and I am in there with a couple I didn't add to the registry. Feels good to know someone is feeling what I have to say.

My favorite is 'Inequality is the first sign of an ignorant culture. I know because I'm from space.'

If I didnt know I made this I'd tell the guy he's a friggin' jeeniuss!

Anyways, I came back and you know what? I'm out again. Keep it real fellers and those few ladies who may be around on occasion.

Sorry, I meant for it to be clear that I knew this... I'm not blaming anyone here, I'm just pointlessly lamenting things. Not to worry - it's not meant your way.

Just happy that the phrase 'ham-fisted cunt' wasn't cut by the network censors...

Don't feel bad. I am the only politician never to be quoted. Besides James Buchanan; that flake!

I'm just glad to see that my 2 out-of-context, self-mocking quotes made the cut. ;)
