I have two good WRs in my MP league and wanted to make sure I had them in the correct positions.
WR #1 (82/82 overall)
Maxed out at Getting Downfield and Big Play Receiving. Great in everything but those are his best two attributes.
WR #2 (72/72 overall)
Has 100's in avoid drops, route running, and 3rd down catching. Only a 32 in getting downfield and 78 in big play receiving.
I currently have WR #1 as my Flanker and WR #2 as my Split End. Should I stick with this or swap em out? Wasn't sure who is supposed to be the deep threat. The SE or the FL?

Don't overthink this one. Put your best receiver in the place where he can be on the field the most, and that's flanker, unless you tinker with the personnel usage screens.

I tried to test this out awhile ago and I got confusing/inconsistant results. I'd say just leave your best at Flanker.

I've done the same and got the same. I just leave my WR's where they are unless there is a hole on one side, but I make sure to adjust my personnel screen to get my best WR's on the field as much as possible.

I had a couple of Top 10 WRs (according to Greta's analyses, at least), and the first few years Sammy Sim suggested lining them up opposite of what I had their positions listed as.
A few seasons later on (after I'd changed them to reflect Sammy's scouting) he changed his mind. So I did as well. Now my Flanker is the WR with superior skills but lower Route Running. Way better in everything else tho.
Also, which WR gets most of the Targets, Receptions, and Yards seems to change every other year as well.

I appreciate it. Thanks for the advice. Hard not to overthink this game.
The only thingI go out of my way to change, is to put my top WR's at the slot positions when I can.

I fired Rex's sorry ass and hired his competitor Sammy Sim!
Or I just couldn't remember what the hell people around here called that guy!

Does Big Play Receiving = YAC? Effectively, I mean.

No. Check the Coaches' Corner archive in the reference thread. The 01/08/07 article goes into detail on this.

Thx Skydog. That was a good read. Reminds me that I need to look through that archive rather than trolling around here. Heh.
