.....that we have had 10 inches and the snow is still falling. But why in God's name did some low-life piece of shit steal my snow shovel.

I can tell you that shoveling snow with a long-handled spade shovel just isn't as effective and a lot heavier.

pissed:mad:

Yeah, you know, this area doesn't get enough snow where it is usually a problem. Yesterday I went out looking to snag a second one, and ended up getting a plastic emergency shovel that you would normally keep in a car. My 12 year old ended up using it, but the main shovel, that was by the front door disappeared overnight. With me doing the lion's share of the shoveling anyway, what's the point of having more.

If you can make it down here, I can spare you one. I've been away from NC so long, I forgot it doesn't snow much around here anymore (or rain for that matter) and wound up bringing the ones I had from Michigan with me. It's still a little weird for me to realize that I haven't seen but a dusting this winter....

It was about 70 degrees today. Not hot enough for me to turn on the air-conditioner, but hot enough for short sleeves.

Pfft. That's nothing compared to what we got (and are still getting)...three feet and counting...

Earlier today...

I don't miss that. Not one little bit. (You do have my sympathy if that counts for anything....)

Not hot enough for me to turn on the air-conditioner, but hot enough for short sleeves. It was 50 degrees yesterday and literally half the people around here were wearing t-shirts and skirts going to class. I mean, they're mostly whores, but still, what happened to global warming?

Probably to shovel snow.

Either that or you'll feel like an idiot sometime around June when it thaws to the point where you find the shovel laying flat on your lawn where the wind blew it!

You win! :)

I spent over seven hours this weekend shovelling but I can't compete with a seven plus foot snow bank! Mine got close to five feet after shovelling today but we're now under clear skies so I don't expect much more in the next day or so.

you should have asked that neighbor of yours to come and blow it :)

Even with the crazy storm we had yesterday, and the fact that the city plow left me with about 5 feet wide of 2 feet high snow at the bottom of the driveway, it still took me less than an hour to blow it to the side of the road. Yeah, side of the road. I can't get it up the bank anymore. It's that crazy. :)

:D Tell me about it! Jerk waved at me from across the street as I laboured away but didn't offer to help.

I always took pride in being one of the only ones on the street without a snowblower. Now I realize the truth...

I'm the dumb guy on the street... :( :D

don't worry, sometimes I feel like the dumb guy for being one of the few to actually have a snowblower. Most other people pay someone to have their driveways cleaned up! :)

dola, believe it or not, someone a few streets off actually paid trucks to come and pick the snow off his front yard. Cost him something like $600. :)

Hey, I think I found your shovel. http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/n/a/2008/04/01/national/a133845D15.DTL&tsp=1

A South Dakota man faces three felony charges after he allegedly got drunk and went on a rampage with a snow shovel at a Bismarck gas station.

Tyler Kraft, 20, of Timber Lake, allegedly threatened two other men with the shovel on Saturday and used the shovel to damage a vehicle, a gas pump and glass doors at the station.

Police estimate total damages at more than $10,000.

Kraft was charged with terrorizing, criminal mischief and unlawful entry to a motor vehicle.
