Since the majority (11 of 16 votes last time I checked) preferred fictional players, that's what we're doing

After the signup thread, we'll likely vote on whether to redraft or go with the rosters as they turn out when we get to 2002 (they were neck and neck (5 and 5)

Hey, we're up to 10.. we're more then halfway to the goal of 16, but we may go with a larger league if there's enough demand for it..

The League Constitution is complete, and VT is setting up the message board for the league over the next day or two I believe. Once that site goes live, I will post it there. Of course, if anyone wants it before hand, please PM me, or email me or even ask here and I'll send it along, I want everyone's input on this

Horns, I have to admit, I have extreme misgivings, while I was not a charter member of the RWBL, I'd have to say there is a huge groundswell of anger still with you there, which doesn't bode well here. Let me check with a few of the other owners before I make it official, ok?

LMAO There is not a huge groundswell of anger there. There is about 2 or 3 guys that have issues with me, and out of 30 owners that is not very many. I am not banned from there or anything like that, so apparently it is not as bad as you think.

I almost didn't say anything and tried to overlook it, but after thinking it through and remembering how angry the whole HM-RWBL fiasco made me, I think I'm going to have to drop out if Horns is in.

I don't have the time or energy to try to re-develop any kind of relationship with HM after the last letdown.

First of all I have no interest in a relationship either, so no worries there. It is really not that hard. You send in a lineup file and I send in one. It is not like we have to live together or something. ;)

Secondly, I made you angry a long time ago. Over the course of two years on this board you have probably made me angry too at some point, but I am not carrying grudges over it. Swaggs, you (and others like you) need to get over this already. Wow i really must have missed something over the last couple of years. I have seen all of you post before and cant say i agree with everything you have said, nor would you expect me to. I cant say i have anything against Horns other than the fact he is a Longhorns fan. Of course i am a Fighting Irish fan so the feeling is probably mutual. I think a little bit of anymosity woudl make the league more interesting. Just my 2 cents for what it is worth.

Okay here is the Jackhammers logo. By the way we gotta be in the same division as Naperville. Our stadiums will be a whole 20 minutes awy from each other depending on traffic and whether Naperville plays on the North or South side of town.

The SBL (Solecismic Baseball League) Messageboards are up, thanks to Burlington Rollers owner VTBub's graciousness, and hard work, and with all 16 teams filled (we just need a couple team names If I read it correctly), it's just a matter of assigning the teams to a league, and then we'll be ready for the History of SBL Sim, which will hopefully take place this weekend.

Please check out the existing threads, the SBL Constitution will be posted tonight (it's all typed up, but it's on my computer at home) :)

For some owners concerned with time and other distractions from the league, forming an ownership group might make for a fun exercise. A sort of mini-group think. This will allow more FOFCers to participate and give us good options for expansion/replacement owners.

Well, it IS the Solecismic Baseball League (since the fine FOBL folks already have the Front Office Baseball League)

I named the two leagues after two of the three folks who sucked up the most time of mine on the sport sims (Jim with FOF series, Markus Heinsohn with OOTP), and the third has the Championship Series named after him (The winner receives the Vaughn Series Championship :))

I think that's a good idea. I probably won't check on much of my team's first fourty years other than the years they won championships and any players that dominated the league. I'm interested in the new records the SBL creates and think it will be fun breaking them but the five years before 2003 are what intrigue me the most. ;)

Until I visited the FOBL website to see why the knives were out, I didn't know that the FOBL had Vaughan (changed btw :)) and Gindin Leagues, for great ghu's sake it's a league based off people from here on the board.

So Vaughan, Heinsohn and Gindin were logical names, ok? And if one attempts to say I ripped you guys off because the website's the same naming scheme as yours.. I tried several other combos before settling on www.thesbl.com, some were too long.. (can you guess how many "Website is down" complaints I'd get when it's just solecismic mistyped?

I have no grudge against FOBL, I wish them the best, but I hope a few of the folks who attacked me understand that not only no offense was meant, no copying was meant.

Hit a snag the past couple of years, but I have 4 of the top 5 pitching prospects. All have good of higher in every category and each have one brilliant rating and are in AA or higher

Lot better then my RWBL team

I don't think there are any hard feelings, really. But it would be considered respectful to at least not use the same league name and award titles as the original FOFC OOTP league does.

I for one wish your league the best, but do wish you'd extend a little professional courtesy. :)
