Great news video I pulled from Bill Harris' Friday Links. The ending is fall-on-the-floor funny.........

I felt bad for the guy who got pwned, too. I assumed he did his job within the time he had (notice he finished up at almost exactly 1 minute) and threw it back to the studio, and the anchor seemed to want to pick a fight. But maybe the reporter is just incompetent, I don't know.

That is great. I can't tell you how many times I've wanted to be on either side of that argument.

So what say you? Do you think they guy had a minute to work with and was trying to end it on time, or did he have more time and should have kept up the interview?

To me, the only mistake the old guy made was, after the guy told him what he wanted, instead of saying, "So what do you want now?", he should have just stuck the mic back in her face and said, "Your response to the landlord's claims?" That was pretty stupid.

That's a lot of years of dislike boiling over live on tv. Great stuff.

Yup. That's exactly what this was. I have no idea if the reporter was originally time-conscious or if he just thought the interview/story was going nowhere and ended it. Frankly that was my first thought, and then the anchor had a question that he thought should have been asked. After that, the long simmering tensions erupted.

I never had an on-air moment like that, but when I was a news anchor at the radio station in OKC there was an afternoon host that I despised. I was always about -----><------- that close to erupting on the air when I had to interact with him.

The elevator doesn't work in an apartment building. By all means break out the live truck. The interview/story was going nowhere because it was a dumbass story to begin with, and Anchorman tried to turn it into the story of the century. What a d-bag. Definitely sounded like there was some backstory between thsoe two but the reporter seemed like he had no interest in covering a bullshit story.

Like Cam, I never had an on-air blow up with anyone. Back in my TV days we would work in pairs as reporter/cameraman and alternate on stories. I was cameraman for a story and the reporter tried to tell me how to light the interview. I told him she was going to come out pale and the woman being interview -- who had been interviewed dozens of times -- said I was right. He and started arguing right there in front of her. We both threatened to shove camera/microphone up each other's respective asses. I finally shot it his way and we the producer griped me out I told him the story. We didn't have to work together anymore after that. :)
