I'm running Vista and whenever I start up my computer I get to the desktop then get an error that reads:
Error in C:\Users\Name\AppData\Local\Temp\dskcchdr.dll
Missing entry:run
Basically I can't open My Computer and folders like that. I don't even know where to start really. I've run my Virus scan and Spybot to check for problems and nothing. I went to see if I could download that .dll on various websites and couldn't find it. Any ideas?

The combination of the location of the DLL and the fact that nothing comes up for it by name via Google strongly points to virus/malware.
Try to find it by running 'msconfig' from command line and looking for the DLL in the Startup tab. You might have to boot into Safe mode to be able to do this.

If you have your original disks you should be able to starting the PC with that disk in the drive and an option to I think repair should be given at some point once it detects the OS. Good luck.

So it is definitely malware, which I have no idea how it got on my computer. Oh well. I'm trying to figure out how to get rid of it, but haven't gotten any help yet on a trouble shooting forum. The malware is called MS Juan if anyone wants to help! ;)

I saw this, but will it work for me or is it going to work just for the guy they are helping?

It looks like the guy was having the exact same problem. You don't need to do all the logging stuff, obviously--just try that malware removal software they recommend.
