It was Saturday according to the Catholic Church.
But it is today according to my calender.

The Catholic Church does not recognize feast days that occur during Holy Week. So, this year they moved it to Saturday. Normally, it occurs on March 17th.

I was just wondering which was considered the "Official Date" this year.
I would think the day that is set by the church (the 15th), it is their saint after all.
But NY City is having their parade today.

So, St. Patrick's day celebrates the life of a dude who banished snakes from Ireland back in the early ADs? Sounds like as good a reason to drink as any!

Though I do believe it was celebrated on Saturday this year.
