Well, I do know they were working on a prototype backpack for it, I don't think they could make it cost effective to compete with the PS3. I am waiting for my M$ contacts to return my inquiries, because they were initially hyped on the prototype.

Xbox 360 Won't Support Blu-ray, Microsoft Says<o></o>
Looks like Bill Gates was serious at CES when he said the future of high-def video is in downloads, not discs.

On Tuesday it was reported that Gates' employer, CE giant Microsoft, would not be offering a Blu-ray disc player for its Xbox 360 game console now that the HD DVD format is no more. Up until now, the company had offered an add-on HD DVD drive for the Xbox 360.

"Xbox is not currently in talks with Sony or the Blu-ray Association to integrate Blu-ray into the Xbox experience," Aaron Greenberg, group program manager for the Xbox 360, told Reuters this week, emphasizing the fact that theirs is "the only console offering digital distribution of entertainment content."

Although Greenberg came up short of saying that the Xbox 360 will never support Blu-ray, it's safe to assume that the console's online video library is about to get a lot more inventory.
