Anyone know if the upper deck attendance bug (Where a team has 0 sales in upper deck seats every year) is on Jim's "to-do" list for the next patch?

I thought this got fixed a long time ago...

Not to mention there are many teams who, even after all these years, get exactly the same attendance for every game in a season. Is it that hard to have some fluctuation in attendance coded into the game at some point?

nope
Are we certain about that? I've never seen it reported since the patch that allegedly fixed it, other than when people continued forward with a career started before that patch.

My Colts team in the PFL has the issue. We just finished the 2018 season about two weeks ago - 12,000 Capacity, 0 Attendance.

I'll have to go back and see how long I've had the issue. Which patch was supposed to fix it?

So if it's a pre-existing condition prior to the patch, you're out of luck?

I can't remember which patch it was, but if you built a stadium at a certain point, you got zero attendance in some cases. It was fixed in a subsequent patch, but not retroactively. Did you build a stadium at some point in FOF2K7's lifespan?

I opened an outdoor stadium for the Colts, but it was still during FOF2004. That does appear to be when the decline started, however. Prior to that I was averaging 52,000 - 55,000 in attendance. Since the stadium opened, it's been in the low to mid 40's. A couple of years have even been in the high 30's, despite having mostly playoff caliber teams.

If I make renovations to the stadium or build a new one (Have to wait until 2025) does that resolve the issue or am I pretty much hosed?

All I can say is thanks for putting the Colts outside and getting them out of that stupid indoor box.

This sounds like you're charging too much money for tickets. Did you ever have anyone in the Upper Deck?

Just in case you're mistaken and built it with 6.0, though, check this thread that I just bumped:

SD,

Thanks for the link. Interesting you make the comment about ticket prices. When we did our Tags & Tix stage about a week ago, I cut upper deck prices about $25 a seat to see if that makes a difference. I'll be interested to see what the result is after the first game.

Bump, any answer on this? I only ask as 200 people spread themselves out in my cavernous upper deck in the first game of my most recent season. We sold out last year. I don't know if it's ticket prices or a bug. If it's the former, it doesn't make a lot of sense. We suddenly lose 27,000 fans because the ticket price goes up $2?

Cutting ticket prices solved my problem. I went from 0 attendance to around 11,000 per game.
