NFL | Boller Stands Out at Private Workout - posted at KFFL (http://nfl.kffl.com)
15:35 PT: Matt Gambill, of All Pro Scouting, has informed KFFL that California QB Kyle Boller worked out in front of 15 teams on Thursday. He threw about 110 passes and showed tremendous velocity, touch, mobility, accuracy and had an overall tremendous workout. He also looked very strong in scramble drills and showed a compact release and great accuracy while on the move. At the NFL Combine, Boller said he could throw the ball through the uprights while kneeling at the 50-yard line. On Thursday, he proved he wasn’t kidding by doing it for those in attendance.

Wow! That's a definite NFL arm!

Also of the 15 teams that where there to watch, the following were confirmed as being there:

San Fran
Dallas
Baltimore
Green Bay

If his knee was down, it wasn't a good pass.

It isn't college, so as long as the defense didn't force him down, give the man three points.

Wouldn't letting QB's do this all the time be better than field goal attempts?

I can see him now in the QB competitions they have at the pro-bowl. Everyone goes up to see who throws the farthest and Boller comes walking up on his knees. :D

Hey, it's at least a good 65 yards, whatever works for the cat.

from the 50 yard line on his knees? That's all? Dude was starting quarterback at my high school our senior year, and I saw him throw it through the uprights from the opposite endzone. Standing, granted, but still.

I'm a bit more impressed by Boss Bailey's workout:

. Linebacker Boss Bailey tweaked his hamstring, but some scouts still had him at 4.38-4.42 in the 40, and he had a 45 ½-inch vertical jump.

Not bad 40 times for a linebacker, and the vertical is just insane.

100+ yards through the uprights, sounds like that mike vick commercial where he throws it out of the stadium. That would also mean he threw it 15+ yards further that vinny testaverde, who had the longest throw at the nfl quarterback challange of 86 yards a few years back.

agreed, that's be at least 110 yards before going through the uprights, the path it'd have to take would add about another 10 yards or so at least I'm guessing. Doubting that a HS QB could throw it that far, I'd have to doubt that story, unless your high school played arena football.

Mark Whiten threw it endzone to endzone when he with Cleveland. He doesn't play football though.
