I am going to the Galaxy-Earthquake game tonight. First time watching Beckham live. Looking forward to it.

BTW, fuck the ref, there wasn't much chance we were going to beat the fire, but between the horrible red card, giving the Fire a cheap penalty on a dive, and denying rev penalty shouts, he basically gave the game to the Fire

I saw a little bit of the LA game on the tube. How'd Beckham do overall?

On a separate note, my vote is in for naming our new team FC Seattle. Best of a bad lot. It's going to be hard to wait a year before next season starts.

He was terrific. Donovan set him up brilliantly for a one on one against Cannon, and that's just cruel. First MLS score at home for Becks.

Then Beckham got the assist on Donovan's score.

I was with a supporter's group last night, and we were in the very first five rows just behind and to the right of the net. Saw both scores up close, as Cannon was in our net in the first half.

Just a terrific spot to watch that game, and didn't sit down for a second (of course).
