View Full Version : Getting information for a game

OK, I've watched Solevision and got the information that I wanted.
However, it is time consuming going through each play and, if my wife starts talking to me and I miss a play, I gotta start from the beginning. Is there a way to get the information in Solevision in a document format that I can just read through? Either that or some way to find and read the file that Solevision is reading from?
Thanks!
PS - The log does not have all the information I'm looking for, like formations and other things....

There is an option under the global game options, which says "add formations to game logs." That might help, although it still doesn't give you ALL of the stuff from solevision. I don't believe there is anything better that is available to everyone (I think some MP leagues might have a utility, but I could be wrong)

I tried that, but it still doesn't give all the information you get from Solevision. I am trying to figure out how well my game plan is working, basically, and you get the most information from Solevision.
It's just a running log of the game, and it would be great if someone cracked it and allow us to read it :)

The format has been cracked, it's a question of getting the time to write utilities that put it in a usable format.

No problem there, sir. I'm already using your utility for other things... it's FANTASTIC!!
If I had the talent AND will to do it, I would. But I'm a sorry sap who has to depend on people like you that have the talent. So, I for one and willing to wait as long as it takes.
So thanks for all you've done up to this point!!!

Actually, I don't even think I'm the highest one on the priority list for working on this. I'm going off other posts in other FOF threads. But it is way down on my list somewhere.

Agreed the format has been cracked, but learning the appropriate language to process them is my first point - php is not the most appropriate language for processing binary files!

I'm trying to find the file format on the boards here, but am drawing a blank - I'm sure I'm just searching for the wrong keywords. Any chance you can point me to the thread(s) that describe the format?
