Who do you take at #1?

Might make it into a series of polls, the official FOFC top 10 mock draft or something to that effect.

Glenn Dorsey

If I'm the Dolphins and forced to pick at #1, I guess I take one of the Longs - Jake probably.

If I'm a team that already had a decent foundation and was picking at #1, I'd probably take Gholston or Dorsey, maybe McFadden if I had a line that could run block.

if your going to play a 3-4 then that's not for Dorsey

interestingly there are rumors that Jake doesn't want to play for Miami, which combined with the supposed deadline for him agree a contract pre draft leads to the unsurprisingly conclusion that nothing is a lock in the draft. btw it's Gholston who is rumored, key word rumored, to be #2 on the Fins list. ofcouse Gholston is the same player who is also rumored to be falling out of the top 5. and the final word from chargers gm alex smith who said i'm not a liar but forgive me b/c every smart gm is lying in the month of april. oh nfl draft why do i love you so

in the end i went for Long, Jake, outside of a QB LT makes the most sense. ofcourse i have a keen eye on how talks between the two sides progress

It'd be Jake Long or Matt Ryan. There's no way you pay #1 money to a LB.

I'd probably go DE Chris Long a hair over DT Glenn Dorsey.

I think Dorsey will be a beast, but I worry about his longevity at that frame. I think the Dolphins should give QB John Beck one more year, and if he still struggles, they might be in the same position next year with a better QB class. Unless Gholston "is" the next LT (which I doubt), I agree that you cannot take him first overall. Lastly, Long reminds me too much of OT Tony Mandarich. I doubt he has the foot speed to take on the "Dwight Freeneys" of the world and think he'll struggle in pass protection (much like Robert Gallery has).

Long seems like a "Parcells" guy simply b/c he plays with a strong motor and was coached by Al Groh (former Parcells D-Coordinator). I doubt he'll be a Hall of Famer, but Long should be a very good pro.
