I just starting up FOF2 for the first time in a few months, and I'm getting an error message that says, "Sorry, could not get a license at this time. Please try running this program later. 23" The game used to work fine on this computer. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks!

Does the eLicense Control applet show up in Control Panel? Is all the information correct?
Email [email protected] - they usually sort these problems out pretty quickly.

Yep, the eLicense Control shows up and it says that it's licensed. The information looks correct. Thanks for that email address, I'll send them a message.

2nd thought:

Have you installed one of the other games recently? When FOF2001 came out some of us had a problem running a formerly 'happy' FOF2 installation after installing FOF2001 and they released an update which cured the problem. If eLicense can't help I can let you have a copy of that update.

Thanks! I did receive a response from eLicense. They sent me a diagnostic tool to run that creates a file with information about my system in it. Hopefully they will get back to me tomorrow with a fix. If not, I'll gladly try your update!

Yeah, I did recently install Out of the Park Baseball 5. I bet you're right, something with that installation messed up my FOF2.

I've put a direct link to the zip file here (http://www.aej.org.uk/fof)

Backup the original FrFoot.exe and vtcpak.dll files and replace them with the modified versions from the zip file. Hopefully that should solve the problem.
