...okay, there aren't many. But the highlights as I pack up the place for next weeks move.

- Finding 2 cookies sheets I never realized I had. I can toss the ones i've been using that look like they've been used for enriching uranium.

- Finding my Cubs "Believe" wristbands. They are 1-0 since I put it on. :)

- Finally having an excuse to throw out my umpteen pairs of torn up jeans and t-shirts I've had since high school that haven't fit since college.

...wow, I'm stretching. This is so un-fun.

For every one thing you pack, you should throw out at least 2 items you don't need. When we moved in December, I found boxes that had been moved twice and not unpacked...and not seasonal Christmas/Halloween kind of stuff either - just crap that had been packed up and never unpacked b/c it wasn't needed. I took them right to the dumpster and haven't missed any of the stuff in there :)

That reminds me I need to go through my boxes in the basement at my parents' house after graduation.

Particularly since I need to find what books I have and don't have again, as not all my books are in my library.

I'd be a little annoyed if it turns out I already have The Nabokov-Wilson Letters (1940-1971), as it was quite expensive and precluded my getting Nabokov's The Man From the U.S.S.R and Other Plays (which I might have) or Dumas's The Two Dianas, which I don't recall ever seeing before.

I find it very enjoyable when I'm packing my 9 or 40. People tend not to fuck with you.

You rule.

So far I've entered just 13 books that I own (not including the books I've read as that's not what I'm using this for) here in my room. Found another one I need to add, but the add book function's temporarily down.

I'm in the middle of moving as well. I hate it, hate it, hate it. The good thing, I suppose, is that we don't have THAT much stuff yet, I suppose. There's only so much stuff you can fit in a one bedroom apartment...

OMG, when my then fiancee (now husband) moved in with us - he had those boxes full of cords and crazy looking wires, etc...drove me crazy! He finally went through them and cleaned them up, 3 big huge boxes was condensed down to 1 medium size box. I thought I was a pack rat!

We are trying to declutter the house right now and we've just been chucking alot of stuff. I packed up my boardgame collection the other day and it consisted of 8 20"x20"x20" boxes and I still have some on the shelves....
