I just got the game yesterday and have been playing around.

I wanted to do something stupid and draft up a great running team and make them ONLY run. Under theory with the logic the game gives you, this should be possible.

So I went into everything and made sure it was that way.

Offense is always 100% of the time in I formation twin TE
I tell it to run 100% in every situation
In plan adjustments I put it to ALWAYS run.

I get games with tons of passes sometimes... what gives?

I'm testing this out because I have a particular team with a good running back and a good TE. So I wanted to run tests to see if this logic I am given to work with actually works. The next test I want to run is trying to get the game to throw very heavily to the tight end and have it ONLY pass and run a few years to get some data.

Is there something I'm missing to make it always run? I tried loading the offense before every game also (I noticed after a sim the offense gets reset) and it still doesn't work correctly. I have to be missing something somewhere hehe.

I'm not the FOF guru, but, this game is about Pro football. Where you have equally good athletes on defense. Your OC is not going to run almost every down for the sake of running. Best chance to win means mixing your plays pass/run or those great athletes on the other side of the ball are going to gang up and stuff your run game ;)

My suspicion from this is that you have a global setting on to have your staff call your gameplan, which overrides whatever you are loading and trying to use yourself.

To check and change this:

Global Game Options
Edit Global Options
Coach Resets game plan prior to each game
-- you obviously want that set to "No"

Anyway, once you get your gimmick offense installed, you should find that:

(1) the gameplan you describe will indeed give you nearly all runs, as you expect, other than limited special situations like a hurry-up drill where the game AI tends to override your settings; and

(2) this offense will suck beyond belief, punishment for being far, far too predictable.

Thanks,Your advice worked and now I have a great team after testing. I have adrian as my RB, some great run blocking line and my defence is stacked... (my qb sucks but again.. he doesn't pass much and if he does it is in his good range). Usually have a qb rating of 80+ which does the job considering adrian is running for damn near 2000 yards a season haha.
