Has anyone seen the show described in my subject (Behind the Music That Sucks)? It's a cartoon spoof based on "Behind the Music" and it is so WRONG. It's on some music station called MMusic USA or something like that. I saw it last night and couldn't believe it.

They had a spoof show on Bon Jovi and actually had a cartoon image of Bruce Springsteen doing Jon Bon Jovi up the poop shoot. My eyes are burned forever.

Just to be sure, I saw it on again today and had my wife watch along side of me. We both were dying laughing wathing the spoof on Eminem, until we both realized out toddler son was also wathing. In the cleanest of parts, they showed MM digging his own grave next to tombstones from Vanilla Ice and Snow. Then Eminen went into a bleep filled tirade with words rhyming with ejaculation when we realized our son was watching. Later on they had a spoof on Maryilin Manson with the M man masturbating himself throughout the whole story.

This thing it South Park by the power of 8. It is just wrong, and really damn funny. Has anyone else seen this thing?

Yes, I enjoy that show. I like MuchMusic quite a bit. They show metal videos I never get to see elsewhere. Come to think of it, they play other videos I never see anywhere else, as well.

I wish we got the straight Canadian MM instead of the watered-down USA version, though. There are so many great Canadian bands that get spotlighted on MM but not so much on the US version of it, and definitely not on MTV or VH1.

MMUSA used to be much more of the unfiltered Canadian MuchMusic and it was vastly superior to what we get these days. It used to be a great way to get exposed to music/bands that weren't getting any play here.

Anyway, this "Behind the Music that Sucks" is done by the same guys who used to do a lot of stuff at heavy.com. That place was a riot and we used to look at it all the time at work. We still have inside jokes we use every week that are derived from some of their classic work at heavy.com. I haven't been to that site in a long time, but last I heard it went to a subscription/pay business model.

I watch it, and think it is funny....but I also agree with the other comments. Years ago when I first got DirecTV they had MuchMusic, which was based out of Toronto. I thought it was cool, and yes there were alot of different bands on, that were nowhere else to be found. Now I have had digital cable for a while now and have MMUSA which again is good...better than VH1 or MTV because they actually "play videos." My question, is the DirecTV version also MMUSA now, or the Toronto-based MuchMusic?

It is MMUSA, and generally a waste of bandwidth when I think about what it was like back in 1999 and earlier.
