that I didn't pass my Oklahoma Professional Teaching Exam. Scores come out tomorrow. :/
I probably did pass it, but I cannot shake this feeling for whatever reason. I wish they would let me know so I can relax.

Don't sweat it. The bad feeling you have is most likely from the nerve gas I have been filtering into your house throughout the day.

You can't smell sintox gas. You must be smelling your own aroma:D

Good luck Duckman, we're pulling for you. If you don't pass, I'll have the mother of Megan Meier's friend give you a call with a motivational message.

I'm glad you passed!
However this thread reminds me of a girl I dated that swore up and down she had failed every exam she ever wrote, only to get A's every time. It became _extremely_ annoying once I saw the pattern.

Well, I'm not that kind of person. :)
Usually, I know whether I did well on something or not. In this case, the questions on the exam were very difficult. I had to sit there and really think through almost every answer. There were a few questions where the answers were so close that any of them could be a viable answer. I had to figure out the "best" answer.
I had the worst headache afterwards. :D

I think the fact that your livlihood depended on it was a big factor in your anxiety. I know when I took a mechanical aptitude test recently that I was extremely worried that I did not score highly. I actually asked the recruiter if I could take it again. Out of my test group, I was the only one that passed.

Congrats Duckman!
I think Warhammer is dead on the money. My boards didn't completely affect my livelihood, but they had a substantial effect, and they were by far the most anxiety producing tests of my life.

Sorry, didn't mean to insinuate that you were like this, the thread just reminded me of her.

Now, I need the official score report, so I can apply for my teaching license.

Congrats duckman. To be honest, I've always been scared about teachers who can't pass these things.
I had to take a series of tests here and after the first round, I knew I would crush the tests and wasn't too anxious. I'm a pretty fast test taker and so for the last test, I took about 45 minutes to do a test which you're given a maximum of 4 hours to do. I'm quite sure that when I handed my test in (you didn't have to stay after you were done) the woman thought I'd just given up. Her repeated "Are you really sure that you want to hand it in now? You've got plenty of time" was quite amusing.

I agree wholeheartly with your opinion about not passing the exam. When the pass rate is 96% in this state, you better be able to pass it.
We have the same type of testing in Oklahoma. We have to pass a general education test, a subject area test, and a professional teaching exam over the course of our degree program in order to apply for licensure. We have 4 hours to complete each exam.
I'm the exact opposite of you. I like to take my time on exams and consider all the options before selecting an answer. It took nearly the entire 4 hours to complete the OPTE because I wanted to make sure that I have good responses in the written sections. It's a good thing too because I score really well in those areas.
Now, I am anxiously awaiting for my CCAF transcripts and official OPTE score report, and I can apply for my license. :)

96%? Yikes that is high.

96%? Yikes that is high.
Yeah, I thought so too. It's 98% for those who have a degree in education and 86% for those without. Last year, 697 of 722 secondary education students passed the OPTE 6-12 exam.
