I have gone through the entire vista thread and not yet been able to figure out a way to get my fof to work. every time I try to load a league after starting the game, it tells me it cannot create data file and shuts down. I have tried changing the folder properties to allow for writing to the fof 2007 folder, but I am either doing it wrong or it doesn't work on this particular computer.. I am beginning to get very frustrated with vista..

Another issue I am having is that the .bat files I have set up for my fof leagues dont work, access denied errors show up in the dos window when I execute the .bats (I copied them from my old comp before I moved, which was an xp installation..)

Anyway.. it seems absolutely ridiculous that I cant use a program on vista because of its damn security issues. Anybody have a solution to this before I start worrying about deleting and trying to find a monitor for the other computer I have?

Ah, and another thing.. I can't seem to access my elicense control to unlicense the game.. Is that broken in vista too?

This is really strange, Julio. I, too, am a Vista user, and I haven't had any problems getting games to run (including FoF2007). The only thing I can think of is to make absolutely sure you are launching the game in Administrator mode. To permanently set that, right click your desktop icon, click on the Properties button at the bottom. Now, go in to the Compatibility tab, and somewhere near the bottom, there's a checkbox that, when checked, permanently boots it in Admin mode. If that doesn't work, I guess maybe try running it in XP Compatibility mode. Hmmm...did you actually fully re-install the game on the Vista machine, or simply copy all the files over? I would imkagine you did run an install, but if not, that could be your issue.

Hmmm...anybody have any ideas why that one aspect of the game would be crashing the program?
