Depth Chart Troubles

I am having trouble with my roster and depth chart. In global options I have both game plan and depth chart disabled. Yet, each time I activate a new player from my roster and insert him into the depth chart, when I go to simulte the weeks games, it tells me I don't have all spots in my depth chart filled. Then, I go back to my roster and the player I activated has been automatically deactivated and of course, I have an empty spot on the depth chart. Is there anything I can do to keep this from happening? It's frustrating. Especially to deal with injuries.

At the risk of this sounding insulting... are you sure they are both set to "No" rather than both set to "Yes" ? The graphics are not terribly well done on that page -- and that really does sound like the best explanation I can come up with for what you are describing.

Sorry if that's not a help... but if it's something as simple as that, we'd feel dumb if we went through lots of effort to fix it and it turned out to be that simple. Worth another verification, I guess.

One other thought... do you have the "Scouts automatically sign players to fill roster" option enabled? If so, that might explain some roster wackiness as well... maybe your staff is going and releasing some guy that you decided was good enough to be in the depth chart. I confess to no knowledge about how that option works when enabled - I never use it.

I am positive that both settings are at no. But I do have scouts filling the roster positions. I'll change that and give it a try. Thanks for the help.

Changing the scout control for roster spots was the fix. I didn't think that would have an effect.

I've only been playing the game about a week, so any help is appreciated. Thanks.
