Um...
You might want to dump your Microsoft stock now.

I can not think of one application that this new interface would improve.
Even in the demo everything he did seemed awkward.

Well it looks like they incorporated the Surface technology into the OS, which is cool technology for artists and such, but to the everyday business user, it's not so good.

Thats just gloop to try and look impressive, the real issue is whether its stable and faster to use than Vista imho.

(oh and about time they got rid of having 128 different versions with all bar 2 having memory limits)

To me it looks like they are trying to solve a problem that does not exist.
I kept thinking "Nero fiddled while Rome burned" while I watched this.

When they moved up the projected release of Windows 7 I thought Microsoft had gotten the message the consumers were sending about Vista: consumers wanted a lean, stable OS that did not get in there way.

Then I saw this, I do not know what to think. Hopefully it is just a pet project of Gates and Ballmer, not that they are adding more useless crap to Vista and calling it W7.

That's actually pretty cool, but it probably won't affect most people. It seems to be only for the "Surface" computers. The pie menu is probably a better option for the right click menu.

Actually, ATT is using surface at some of their stores as a sales aid and it has increased their sales quite a bit on the 3 phones that are currently set up on it.
