A note on categories: The list above is what was posted as the rules. Some of the categories are loosely defined and open for interpretation. It is up to the voter to determine which works best fit in which categories, and to factor that into their voting choices. No further guidance will be given -- it's your call.

Voting format
You will vote for your first, second and third choices, with points awarded in 5/3/1 format.

Please post in something resembling this format:

Definition of "sex symbol"? It's largely regarded as a famous person that is regarded as sexually attractive. That meant the person need to be judged on 2 things: Fame and Sexual Attractiveness. Also, I didn't pick on who I thought was most attractive to me but who I think the general public would agree with.

Celebrity Singer
1. Elvis Presley - pre-pudge, this guy was the bomb (apparently) (Lathum)
2. Madonna - was there anyone regarded as being sexier in the 80s/early 90s? she pushed the envelope so much (CU Tiger/Kwhit)
3. Britney Spears - close call with Beyonce but pre-K-Fed, Britney Spears was probably widely regarded as the hottest thing in music (like that skintight red outfit in one of her videos) (bsak16)

Celebrity Actor
1. Marilyn Monroe - deserved to be the top overall pick but noooooooo, Shia Labeouf went first. Go google sex symbol and you'll see her image appear more often than not. (Radii)
2. Jennifer Aniston - Perhaps a controversial pick here but, during her Friends heyday, possibly one of the most attractive actresses around. When the world wants your hairstyle, you must be doing something right. (CU Tiger/Kwhit)
3. Patrick Dempsy - McDreamy is soooooo freaking hot to girls (apparently), not entirely sure why though. Swayed by public pressure on this one. (Lathum)

(Audrey Hepburn loses out because I don't think she's a Sex Symbol so much as a symbol of pure class/elegance).
