Feel free to laugh at me.
I know y'all expect no less.
Now I'm just trying to decide if I want to go get some tape to try to wrap it up to see if that helps or if I actually want to call the doc tomorrow.

I'm thinking we should collectively donate and purchase TK a lifetime supply of bubble wrap so she can pad herself with it every day and avoid any further injury to herself.

I thought my son was accident prone, but he's got nothing on you!!! Hope it's ok, and definitely go to the doctor...

dola,

I'm going to see how it feels in the morning. For now, I've got it taped up and I'm icing.

And this was equally klutzy as some of my other injuries. I was picking up my gym bag (got through my entire workout with no problems!) and it slipped out of my hand, the strap on the bag caught my thumb and bent it backwards.

Yep, nothing new to see here. ;)

What is a doctor really going to do about it, though? If it were me I'd just ignore it until it goes away.

When I read this all I could think of is Lloyd Christmas going "I fell off the Jet way again."

Hope you get better soon TK.

I wouldn't be going to the doc for drugs. Given my past history with sprains not healing well and given that I already have loose joints (see my other thread about Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome), I've been making a concerted effort over the last year or so to ensure that I treat any potential ligament or tendon injury very gently and if I have to, baby it a little. So, if the proper course of action is to keep taping it, great, but if there's something better I can be doing for it, I'd rather do that. The last thing I need right now is yet another joint I've damaged beyond repair.
