View Full Version : Baggy pants, or no baggy pants? That is the question.

So now that I am getting to see more baseball this year, I notice the trend that some of the bigger guys are wearing some pretty baggy/loose pants. It kind of looks a little odd to me. In some cases it makes them look much more fat, like Prince Fielder of the Brewers tonight.
I say no baggy pants. I don't need to see a camel toe, but why the 3 sizes too large when you already were 4 sizes larger then the normal guy?
That's all. I never said it was important.

You're looking at this from the wrong perspective. The uniforms aren't baggier. The bodies are smaller. ;)

Baggy pants are OK if they wear tall socks a la the first half of the 20th century -- Johnny Estrada does this.

The Prince Fielder is one fat small guy.

I was always a fan of the form fitting pants to mid-calf with stirrups. But then again I'm old.

There is a good baggy look and a Prince Fielder baggy look. Prince just looks like a fat slob that just rolled out of bed. Then there is a good baggy look where the pants just come over the shoes. That is the most comfortable way I've worn baseball pants and it really helps not allowing dirt in your shoes which is always a bitch.

Too tight has gone the way of the dinosaur, but I agree, too baggy isn't acceptable in the glory of baseball. Just regular loose works, over the shoes I'm down with.

I don't have a problem with the loose pants at all. The extra baggy just looks horrible though.
