I have a three-wheel bike that's a Hawthorne model, dark blue, with a white seat and a basket in back.

My mom thinks it's from the 1950s. I've read that Hawthorne was a private label for Montgomery Ward manufactured by some bike company in Cleveland who had Roadster as their own brand name.

I'm just curious as to if anyone could better pin down the approximate year or a rough idea of what'd the bike be worth. This is more an exercise in curiosity than anything else, because I don't intend on selling it. It's a great bike and I love riding it (can't ride a two-wheel bike due to some type of ear imbalance).

Thanks guys and gals. :)

No. :p It's a three-wheel bike. Got the big old orange "Hi. This is a slow-assed, but road-legal vehicle" triangle on it (though I imagine that's not from the 1950s of course).

It's not a kids' bike at all (which is what I consider a tricycle to be)

I never would have guessed Izulde would ride a tricycle.
