It's been two full years since I posted here announcing that I was now doing a weekly podcast. 100+ shows later I thought I'd send out a dual purpose post here.

1. If you're into the general sort of "hot talk" format (I hate that term), I invite you to check out our show (or perhaps to check it out again). The show has progressed a great deal since day one.

I still think it has tons of room for growth (it's certainly come miles from the first few shows), but right now I think it's pretty good for what it is - two guys doing a weekly show while holding down full-time jobs that kind of preclude them from investing even more time into it.

There's been some real highlights in two years (being live on air in New York, being on XM Satellite, getting mentioned in the Daily News in NYC) and a lot of behind the scenes crushed hopes as well. Obviously, the fact that we're not on-air full-time is first and foremost.

2. The show is airing on XM Satellite Radio tonight. It's on channel 202 ('The Virus'') at 8PM eastern, and re-runs at 1PM eastern tomorrow afternoon. This is the second time in three weeks we've been on XM, and this looks as if it could be a semi-regular gig for at least a little while.

So I guess that's it. The show is obviously housed at ctandjivin.com as well as available through iTunes. The last 12 weeks are available at any given time.

If you do listen at all, feel free to share your thoughts publicly or privately.

Keep up the good work, CT - I do enjoy the show, although I don't get time to listen to it every week.

Are these "semi-regular" gigs going to be live or recorded?

I'm not a fan of talk radio as a rule, but I've actually become quite fond of your show. I just won't ever let Jivin serve me a drink.

You know this already CT, but I'm a huge fan of the show. It's grown a lot over the last two years and it shows. I will continue to be a loyal listener and hope that you continue to make strides forward.

From concept to XM in two years is an incredible success story.

pre-recorded for the time being. it just isn't justifiable on the XM side to let us do it live. Even if we provided our own additional staff (phone screener, probably 1 other 'producer'), i just dont think the risk would make sense for them. If you put yourself in their shoes it's very easy to understand.

we're just happy with a chance to pick up some listeners and justify our existence a bit.

From concept to NYC terrestrial radio and XM in a year is more like it. This is the second go-around with getting on air.

I definitely understand, it was just wishful thinking. :) Although, since I don't have XM, I'm OK with it. It would just, obviously, be better for the show if it were live.

If you have DirecTV, you can listen to XM on that.

#1) When I did have DirecTV the XM stations available were limited
#2) I only have an antenna

We'll be on XM Satellite, Channel 202 ('The Virus') again this weekend. It's a 1 hour show, pre-recorded (recorded last night).

If you're interested, here are the times it airs:

Saturday June 28 - 6AM Eastern
Saturday June 28 - 8PM Eastern
Sunday June 29 - 1PM Eastern

I also podcast it a few days later for those who can't catch it on XM.

The last XM show was a top 5 for me, great stuff. Grats on getting back on :)
