Name My Baby

Since we found out about 2 weeks ago that we have another baby coming (or more..yikes :eek:), I am in need of ideas for a name (s). The due date is sometime in January 2009, so we have no idea yet what the sex is or how many. Triplets run in my wife's family and nobody in our generation has yet even had twins, so she is worried that this could be the time.

So without further ado, I am curious as to what types of names you all can come up with. This was actually mentioned by Oliegirl so I should give her at least partial credit. Also, I don't want to ruin anyone's parade, but let's try and keep it civil (i.e. no names regarding race, sex, gender, orientation, and no swear words).

We're not close to having kids yet, but it was so dorky that I wanted to do it just for fun. Looks like Payton and Taylor are the only two to make both the male and female list. A co-worker's wife just had a baby girl recently named Payton (it might have been Peyton, I'm not sure). The admin emailed an announcement that didn't give the gender of the baby, and misspelled the name as Patton. That would have been a much cooler name.

It's a good name...there are so many Julie's out there, and my middle name is Ann, which was also really popular. But I'm actually named after my paternal grandfather (Julius) and my maternal great-grandmother (Anna Maria).

Nevaeh is Heaven spelled backwards...I just heard about it a week or so ago, but that is the latest name crazy down here. Aiden is also very popular, as is the "classics" like Emma, Grace, Sophie, etc...

I was looking at my old threads and realized I forgot to finish this one.

Our girl was born on January 5, 2009. We named her Mattie; which is odd since it was not on our list of names.

Now she is five months old and teething.

Is Mattie short for something (Maddison?) or is that her LEGAL NAME?

I love the name Riley for a boy, we have a dog named Riley though so we won't be naming our kids that, so you can have it :) I also like the name Channing for a boy.

For a girl, I love Emily Elizabeth, Hannah Jane, Schuyler, Gracie, and Amelia.

My daughters name is Riley, named after me. Riley is my middle name.

The wife and I have had names picked out for our future children since before we were married, I believe. And now that the time is near to use them, I'm glad to realize that I still like the names we picked out.

Boy: Brenden (or Brendon...not sure on the spelling yet) Alec
Girl: Regan Marie (my only issue with this name is that I want it spelled that way but pronounced like the former president's name...not his Sec of the Treasury)
Third Kid: Morgan David (if a boy) or Morgan Kathleen (if a girl) -- I can already see the boy getting the nickname Mad Dog. Get it? Mogen-David 20/20. MD 20/20. Mad Dog 20/20? *sigh*
