...to launch the attack. There would be delicious irony in launching an attack that would simutaneously being the liberation of Iraq from the evil tyrant's rule, AND take the limelight off of some of Saddam's biggest supporters.

It took me a minute to figure out what you were talking about. I kept thinking "What is going on in France on Sunday?"

Heh!!! Neil Boortz JUST mentioned the same idea. He just brought up that we should launch the attack about 45 minutes before the show is about to begin, too late for them to cancel it, but too late for them to show it.
On a similiar note, should the attack come in the next 2-3 days, can you imagine what a propaganda-filled ZOO Sunday night could turn into??? Every anti-war celebrity saying their little thing, then the rare pro-freedom celebrity saying his or her piece and getting booed...

I support this idea too, if we wait until Sunday night then maybe the NCAA Tournament coverage won't get pre-empted at all.

I actually heard on the radio this morning that the producers of the Oscars have requested that if war coverage is shown during the time the Oscars are on, they would like a ticker to be shown at the bottom of the screen announcing the winners.
We must be informed of the important stuff like Oscar winners at all times.

Why does anyone care about the Oscars in the first place?
