I think I'm ready to join in with the countless other FOFC Hattrickers out there.
How about a nice background of the game, of what it entails and how to get started? Are there some good sites that have been put together to help "newbies" in the process?
Is it basically just a huge league of club teams that play one another, or is it divided into Leages or Conferences, or what?
Also, is there some type of World Cup Tournament at some point in the game?
It seems like a very cool, interactive game..
I guess what I'm asking is,.. "Just what in the hell is this.. how do you say.. Hattrick, all about?

Hattrick is very much like a big community of soccer managers, very interactive... Best site I've found for startup, other that reading the official Hattrick rules under "about Hattrick" on the Hattrick site, would be Hattricks. Adress is just below...

Good luck and welcome aboard!

Leagues:
There are lots of leagues, in several different levels, all with 8 teams each. At the end of each season, the top teams get a chance to be promoted & the lowest teams get demoted.
World Cup:
There are, in fact, national teams. In fact, the U-20 World Championships are currently underway. The US begins the 2nd round of group play this Friday. The U-20 & National coaches are elected by the group of owners from that country. Next season, the FOFCers plan to vote for DataKing for U-20 coach.

Take a look at the beginning of my dynasty thread, MK. That should give you some basic information about the game and how it works.

Thank You Gentlemen.. ;)
I'll read through some of this information and get an understanding of what its all about before I give it a go..
By the way, is there a way to choose which League you begin with? For instance, is there a way to play with other FOFC'ers?
Thanks again Amigos!!

No, I understand it's pretty random where in the US you will end up. But there's the FOFC cup at least...

I've been on the waiting list for 5 days now, this is getting pretty frustrating... I'll check the home page many times a day just to see my position on the waiting list... I guess I'm hooked before even starting... :)

FOFC Cup? Please explain...
Are they just a group of Friendlies, or is it an actual Tournament set up through Hattrick?
And one more of my soon to be thousands of questions, what's the deal with a Waiting List?
Thanks!! ;)

See the post (Ping all Hattrickers regarding FOFC Cup) for more info.
It's not an official Hattrick cup, but something arranged outside and played via the hattrick teams/games.
edited for spelling
FOFC will crash Hattrick soon :)
