I found QuikSand's original post (http://operationsports.com/fofc/showthread.php?t=16893) regarding affinities and conflicts extremely helpful. However, I spent a lot of time looking back and forth between players, figuring out their signs, looking at the opposing signs, then looking up birthdays for those signs... whew, lot of looking around.

I made this little table to facilitate the process and I thought it might be useful to someone else. Again, props to QuikSand for this information.

Affinities and conflicts are based on astrological signs? Wow, I'm pretty surprised about that. Not that that's bad I guess, they gotta be based on something, but I would think that there would be a more... rational way of doing it?

It would have been nice if the affinities had matched those of real life: for example, Aries has affinity with Leo and Saggitarius and conflict with Libra. It would still be pretty much at a Vanity Fair Astrology level -the level at which everyone is a skeptic, including most serious astrologers-, but it would have been a nice touch. Intention counts, though, and it's understandable they didn't feel like researching this a whole lot.

They should of just used real life personality types. Like 'Gangsta', or 'Drunk', or 'Cowboy'. So when your gangsta WR doesn't get along with your cowboy QB and ends up holding out on the second year of his 5 yr deal because he's not getting enough balls thrown his way it all makes sense :) And your drunk DE gets suspended for the first 4 games...
