Don't you think that CBS should have announced by now where the NCAA Tournament will be shown in lieu of being on the network when the war starts?

I have DirecTV, and am wondering if ESPN gets the coverage, whether or not they'll regionalize the games, and even if they do, if DirecTV will pick up on the regionalization. Currently, with NHL and MLB coverage, if there are games that are shown to certain other regions of the country, those are shown on a separate, non-PPV channel. I have seen many Reds games in the past that local cable subscribers can't see, using this special "feature" of DirecTV. But these extra channels for the regional action seem to not be an option, considering the PPV package that CBS sells to view the first 3 rounds of the tourney. Maybe that's the holdup. They don't seem to be concerned about it, really... saying they'll switch to maybe TNN or Nickelodeon... or somewhere.

I understand that the war is far more important, but if they're going to go on with the tournament, I want to be able to watch it.

If CBS moves the coverage, it will move to ESPN and ESPN2. I forget where I saw this... maybe sportsline.com has the info.

DirecTv's package isnt supposed to be affected.

ESPN regionalizes by state, not market, they said this will limit how much in game switching they do.

ESPN/ESPN2 look like they will get Thurs/Fri games. CBS or its cable partners(TNN, TvLand, etc) will have Saturday and most of Sunday. ESPN/ESPN2 could pick up Sunday night games.

ESPN cant broadcast on Saturday and part of Sunday because of committments to the womens tourney.

I'll be interested to see what happens to the coverage if the attack doesn't begin until mid-afternoon tomorrow. Then, CBS is showing games when all of a sudden they break into their local programming for a special news bulletin.... meanwhile, the ends of all 3 games are taking place, and it takes them 45 minutes to switch over to ESPN.... I guess I'm interested in the logistics of it all.
