Angry man shoots lawn mower for not starting

MILWAUKEE (AP) — A Milwaukee man was accused of shooting his lawn mower because it wouldn't start. Keith Walendowski, 56, was charged with felony possession of a short-barreled shotgun or rifle and misdemeanor disorderly conduct while armed.

According to the criminal complaint, Walendowski said he was angry because his Lawn Boy wouldn't start Wednesday morning. He told police quote, "I can do that, it's my lawn mower and my yard so I can shoot it if I want."

A woman who lives at Walendowski's house reported the incident. She said he was intoxicated.

Walendowski could face up to an $11,000 fine and six years and three months in prison if convicted.

A call to Walendowski's home went unanswered Friday morning.

The link has his mug shot as well.

I get this guy. The angriest I have ever been was when the lawnmower my father-in-law gave me leaked gas, cut like shit, and got jammed in the self-propel. One more problem probably would have led me to stop cussing and start shooting.

We need to have a board where we can post news stories and what not.

Shocking behavior from a gentleman such as he. My suggestion would be a push-mower, as my grandfather used. Economical and assists in staying in shape at the same time. Plus, you never have to worry about it starting!

Word is that the Packers have offered him $20 to stay away from training camp.

Some clown in Sacramento was dragged into court
He shot his lawnmower
It disobeyed, it wouldn't start
Might makes right, it's the American way
They fined him $60 and sent him on his way

You know, some people don't take no shit
Maybe if they did they'd have half a brain left

He might of had trouble with the law and lawn mower before and order to put a breathalyzer on his lawn mower for safety reasons.

Shooting your non-compliant lawn mower is a time-honored tradition here in the States.

I think we've all unleashed violence upon inanimate objects at one point or another. I just hope this guy kept his gun inside because that would just be tremendous if there some actual pre-meditation involved.

I have a friend who:

Became pissed at a Playstation controller and threw it across his living room.
He then proceeded to go to the kitchen, grab some scissors, and cut the controller's cord in numerous places.
He then jumped up and down repeatedly on top of said controller.True, a gun was not involved but there still some pre-meditation. Good stuff.

It looks like the mower got to his hair before he killed it.

I'm telling you there was a breathalyzer on it. He got drunk and noticed the grass was too damn high. If what happened next doesn't piss you off than your a better man than I. I feel the state definitely should have seen this coming.
