What a horrible situation, that maybe one day will have a happy ending. The adoptive parents in this story are true saints, and I don't know how the birth mom escaped going to prison.

Anyone able to see if there is a link or number or something where people can send money/clothes/things they need for this girl?

I can't believe this woman didn't go to jail.
And I want to hear more about what the hell was going on with the investigators those two times before that calls went out, particularly the second time, when the first call would have already been on the record.

Wow. This tells me more than anything else that child protection services fail us. Parents are in danger of losing their children for spanking them (or showing affection to them in public, a la England), but a child who cannot speak or even eat for Christsake is not taken away from the parents immediately? Un-farking-believable!
